A point I would like to make: There are very few adults in the world today who do not believe in a God of some kind, however you perceive Him or Her to be. But the question is what does Jesus have to do with it? I mean where, and how, does Jesus fit in really? It is very important that you understand this before you read, The Great Speakings, that you might better understand Jesus himself, and in the process he also talks (a little) of God. To answer, I quote (in part) from the FIRST BOOK OF ATTESTMENTS, BOOK J of The Speaking. The number is listed before each quote, and you will notice that they are not all quoted in order. This, because they are not all particularly significant in explaining Jesus, as such. 299. Men have often said that I am son of God, meaning to some, a literal father dwelling in a literak heaven, surronded by his messengers and judging all men according to their deeds. 300. I bid you to behold that such is a compromise between the truth and what they would belive of their own pictures in form, not knowing how to picture the abstract. 307. The Father, who rendereth unto you picture of divine paternity, is far vaster then ye can conceive of, inthat out of the infinite cometh Reason by a process that hath in it Creation as ye know it; This reason is the Voice of Creation, telling men, born and unborn, of vast mysteries. 317. When I speak then of the Father, I speak verily of one who ruleth the Host of all Thought Streams, a Spirit so aged then no man knoweth its antiquity. 318. Know that the Spirit is beyond sexual daefinition, but I refer to Him as Father because sch was my relationship formed in ages long past. 319. This Spirit is power beyond even my coneiving, just as I was beyond your conceiving whilst in mortal flesh. 321. When I say that I am son of God and refer to Father, invaribly I refer then to this Spirit, because with Him I am in touch, and know no greater beyound Him: 323. When therefore I say that the father exiteth and yet I say that God is Incarnate Thought, I do not speak a paradox, neither do I fabricate: we have spirits with us on the Higher Side so powerful of knowledge, concept, and constructive emotionlism, that they do trandscend even myself. 324. These spirits are known unto me intimately and sometimes unto you when ye are out of your flesh. 325. These Infinate Spirits, for I call them such, are greater in power than any known to moetal men. In that the Father doth delegate work to them they do have control of the universe as men know it; they are omnipotent and omnipresent in the worlds and universe, ruling them by thought projection and enabling them to function. They are fellow members of the God-Force, in that together we do the work of the Father. 326. Throughtout history, some members of these Spirits have spoken to man For God and As God in that they Are Of God. As a member in good standing of the Spiritual Brotherhood, I am given the earth as my ruling place, and I speak herein as myself. 327. I have come amongst men for this purpose time and again, and in many guises, notto manifest omnipotence, for omnipotence is always relative, and strictly speaking even the Ruler of the Host hath it not; But I come to teach men something higher than that which they perceive in their earthly travail. 328. I have come as instructor, not as ruler, although by my instruction do I rule; I have come into flesh times beyond count in different bodies, and different personalities, always manifesting unto men what they may attain even in the handicapped and blinded concepts of the present age. 329. I have shown them the way, the truth, and the light, particularly the Light; now we come into this situation: 332. Know ye that mankind as beheld by men is not only manifestation of mortality, although humankind hath a state unto itself; planets beyond your ken have their species and races and cohorts and potentates, they are dwellind in all sorts and conditions of livinghood and making pratice of their talents according to their own development of intellect; 334. Again unto each higher life-form the Father hath appointed an overseer. Verily hath He made mine responsibility. 335. What I would tell you this hour is this: There is one God in respect that there is one Ruler of the planetary systems: This ruler, I say, is an old, old Spirit, older than any of us have knowledge. 336. His comings and goings are marked by vast cataclysms, so that stars do perish and reassemble in His presence; verily He is incarnate in the universe as ye know the universe of sight, and sound to be, yet doth he dwell in addressable presence upon a far, far planet, greater in extent than your minds can even encompass. 337. Behold I go unto Him for instruction at intervals, a Living Entity who hath power so great that for Him to speak is for creation to consumate: Enough Already! As you will see in reading the Book, Jesus has personalized these Scripts to each and every reader. This, in the fond hope that we may be inspired to take His Cross upon ourselves, and join Him and His "Goodly Company" in the new Millennium. This is no burden, as The Cross of Jesus today is of Light. The bottom-line: The most important Message of the Millennium is a lot more Messangers are needed in the Millennium! Now, God will "work" for you whether or not you go through Jesus. The only thing that matters is that you do relate in some way, and you may feel more comfortable dealing directly with God. I'm Sure That's OK With Jesus because that's Who He deals with. However, if Jesus is in control of the earth-plane as he claims to be, then all we experience on the earth-plane is brought to us through the Grace of Jesus. This you should understand that you might better understand his manner of speech, Incidentally, Jesus also talks rather extensively about his origin and early life in Book O, of THE SECOND BOOK OF ATTESTMENT.
